Linux CVE-2026-53362 enters KEV: verify running kernels, not just installed patches

CISA added Linux CVE-2026-53362 to KEV on 27 August 2026. The IPv6 privilege-escalation flaw was already public in July. Prioritise affected hosts and verify the fixed kernel is running; installing a package alone is not sufficient evidence of remediation.
